Nigerians await 'botched drug trial' settlement
Families in the Nigerian state of Kano have been awarded millions of dollars by Pfizer, the world's biggest drug-maker, in a settlement over a medical trial that allegedly caused deaths and injuries.
Pfizer carried out medical trials in Kano in 1996. Two-hundred children were tested with an antibiotic called Trovan, which was supposed to treat meningitis. Eleven of those tested died soon after the trials, while many others were left with deformities.
Ten years later, the Nigerian government sued Pfizer for $2bn, saying that the company misled Kano state about the unapproved drug. Pfizer denies any wrongdoing.
An out-of-court settlement was finally reached in July this year, with Pfizer agreeing to pay up to $75m - a fraction of what was sought.
Al Jazeera's Yvonne Ndege has returned to Kano to meet families still waiting for their share of the settlement.

Kyrgyzstan cartoon takes aims at corruption
A new children's television cartoon is being launched in Kyrgyzstan with a very grown up purpose - to fight endemic corruption in the country.
The story revolves around five children who stumble on a world where bribery and police intimidation rule.
As Robin Forestier Walker reports from the capital Bishkek, it's a thinly disguised parody of real life.

Obama's idealism meets reality
When Barack Obama was elected US president, many of his supporters had high hopes he would bring a new era of reform to Washington.
He ran on a platform of idealism, touting "change" as his central motto.
But now after nearly a year in office, some are becoming increasingly disappointed.
From the watered-down climate deal in Copenhagen to a weakening stance on health care, critics argue the idealistic president is becoming too pragmatic.
Al Jazeera's Sebastian Walker reports.

Iran mourns Montazeri death
Millions of Iranians are mourning the death of Grand Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri who is due to be buried in the holy city of Qom on Monday.
Montazeri, who died on Sunday aged 87, was one of the architects of Iran's Islamic Revolution but eventually became one of the government's fiercest critics.
Montazeri's stance against Iran's leadership made him a hero of the country's opposition, while his criticisms were all the more stinging because of his stature as one of Shia Islam's most revered clerics.
Al Jazeera's Nazanine Sadri reports.
